Shannon (www.rocksinmydryer.typepad.com) asks us for a Kitchen tip this week.
Something I am planning on doing this week is to reorganize my kitchen to make it more child-friendly. I have cleared out a lower section of my cabinet and plan to have Hubby install a pull-out shelf. On this shelf will be the children’s cups and some paper plates. I will also place napkins there and some bowls underneath along with some healthy pantry type snacks. Fruit as always will be in the fridge. This will be the “prepare my own snack” station for my younger children. My two olders can reach the upper cabinets where the above stuff is currently stored. But, my two youngers cannot. I hear “Mom, can you get me a glass” or “Mama, cup pease” more times than I can count! LOL So, hopefully, this will encourage more independence and save my sanity at the same time!
We’ll see if it “Works for Me”!
Great idea!
This is a wonderful tip! I like the idea of my children being self-sufficient. Thanks for posting.
I’ve been thinking of doing something similar to this!
Mary
great idea.
Have a great Wednesday.

We have something like that too and it’s great.
Good idea! My little ones always ask me for a cup and then I get distracted before I go get it, they would be thankful if I did something like this! My favorite is: “Is the dishwasher clean?” When it is I can just say yes and they get their own cup
Great idea! Thanks for sharing! =)
