Last night, Mr 9 was building with Duplo Legos with Mr 3. He’s great about playing with his younger brothers and really enjoying time with them. They constructed a house, car, pool, and garden for Pooh (It’s a Winnie the Pooh lego set with some extra blocks thrown in for good measure). As Mr 9 [...]

With the onset of summer stretching before us, and my children beginning to bicker with each other, I’ve made some changes in our home. First, a little background:
My children typically get along well and enjoy each other’s company, despite a few brotherly skirmishes. Lately though, there has been a real increase in squabbling. It’s driving me [...]

Okay, can I just say how much I love these games?!? They are so fun, clean, and my children and I love to play them together. I sit at the computer surrounded by 4 boys (ages 12-3) all enthralled at the latest mystery we have to solve. It’s been great for the very rainy weekend [...]

Today is a day to remember and to say thank you to those who have fought and sacrificed for our country and our freedoms. Whether we agree with the current “war” or not, we all must thank the men and women in uniform who are willing to put their lives on the line for our [...]

Last night, we were at a Scouts meeting. It was outdoors and the last one of the year. There is a playground right there next to the meeting circle so after the meeting, several of the families stayed to let the children play on the playground. There were probably 15 families and 30-40 children. One [...]

Like many homeschool families, our family loves the library! And we are blessed with one of the most amazing libraries in the country…I mean it’s won awards! LOL Seriously though, there is a wonderful children’s section, computers, CDs, DVDs, adult fiction/non-fiction, magazines, study rooms, programs, etc etc.
One of my little quirks is that I have [...]

I am a happy gal today! Nothing in particular…just lots of little blessings.
School is out in 1 1/2 weeks. I can’t wait to have my 2 middle children (who are public schooled right now) home full time! They are both such fun boys and I just plain enjoy their company. It’s nice to have all [...]
