*Update: I’m using this for Works for Me Wednesday. The entire series can be found by selecting the Parenting with Intention category. I plan to write on this topic through at least January)
My children (all boys ages 4-13) are generally respectful and speak kindly to one another and to us as parents. [...]

I’ve been thinking about doing a Parenting with Intention series for a while now.  I decided to post some drafts I’ve had typed up for a bit.  I’ve wanted to talk about parenting special needs and typical children for awhile.  I don’t have it all together by any means.  But by typing, I think things [...]

Lamentations 2:19
Arise, cry out in the night,
       as the watches of the night begin;

In our home, computer and TV use is a privelege not a right.  It is an effective consequence for bad attitdue around here to lose your TV/computer priveleges.  This morning was one of those attitude examples.  Usually, our consequences around here are logical and/or natural.  Attitude is one that’s a bit hard though to come [...]

This morning was one of those mornings with one of my children.  He woke up on the wrong side of the bed apparently.  As in on another continent almost.  It was tough.  He woke up grumpy, ate grumpy, dressed grumpy, and washed his face grumpy.  He then left for school…you guessed it….grumpy.
He made some choices [...]
