I just found this incredibly amazing blog written by a 20 year old serving in Africa. Wow…Here is a quote pulled from her blog:
There is a common misconception that I am courageous. I will be the first to tell you that this is not actually true. Most of the time, I am not brave. I [...]

Yesterday we had the opportunity to attend the Jimmy V Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament. All proceeds from the event go towards cancer research. We got tickets from UNC at clinic where one of my son’s is being seen.
What fun! We stayed for a few hours and saw some fun golf. The boys got their pictures [...]

I am taking my husband away for his birthday soon. We have grandparents coming to stay with the children (thank you!!) for 3 glorious days!
I chose a wonderful place with a 5 star Inn. It should be really fun, very romantic, and relaxing. We are both looking forward to it. We’re going to [...]

It’s been a while…
I need to get this blog jump-started. I’ve been trying to think of a new schedule for our family life and I need to include blog-time. If left to my own devices, I read so many wonderful blogs out there and then promptly neglect my own. No more, I say…no more! LOL [...]

Here is an amazing idea from one of my favorite bloggers! Tonya at The Kissack Chronicles has posted about doing Christmas Advent Bags with her children to help count down the days until Christmas. You make 24 bags with little activities, projects, or treats in them. Each bag is numbered and opened a day at [...]

Lamentations 2:19
Arise, cry out in the night,
as the watches of the night begin;
pour out your heart like water
in the presence of the Lord.
Lift up your hands to him
for the lives of your children,
who faint from hunger
at the head of every street.
I have decided to pray according to the above [...]

Today we have the opportunity and honor to pay respect to our veterans. These men and women served our country with courage, honor, and dignity. Thank you to all of you who fought for my freedom, for my country, and for my life as an American.

Angie at Bring the Rain (an amazing blog that if you have not visited, you need to visit right now!) has come up with a terrific idea. She is asking all who wish to join her in praying for their children in a specific way. 7 times (with scripture) each day for one week (and beyond of course!). [...]

I’ve got a new link in my sidebar. Actually, it’s a “button” I’m told, by my more computer-saavy children! Please go and check it out. Reece’s Rainbow is a wonderful nonprofit organization whose mission is to help find children with Down’s Syndrome and other medical needs homes. These children face a bleak future in the [...]
